Richard joined SimplyBiz Mortgages in December 2019 in the newly created role of Head of Strategic Development. He works alongside the senior management team with responsibility for helping to shape and create the future direction of the mortgage club.

Richard has a wealth of experience in the intermediary market having spent the previous 2 years as Managing Director of specialist mortgage advisory firm, largemortgageloans.com. Here he oversaw a significant period of growth for the business with responsibility for sales management, marketing, corporate relationships and the strategic development of the company.
Prior to this Richard spent 15 years working for one of London’s largest intermediary firms, Alexander Hall. Whilst always maintaining a customer facing advisory position, he performed a number of sales management roles before assuming responsibility for lender relationships and adviser technical training in his capacity as Technical Director. As a Board member he was involved in the strategic running of the business and was part of the management team that formed Alexander Hall’s contribution to the wider Foxtons group successful IPO in 2013.

In his spare time Richard enjoys spending time with his family, camping, attending gigs and is an avid football and rugby fan.
