The Regulatory Landscape (11:20am - 11:40am)

There’s certainly no shortage of compliance conversation topics for our expert panel in the Regulatory Update session! We’ll be just past the two-month market in terms of implementation of the new Consumer Duty regime, and our team will be exploring what the rules have meant for advisers in practical terms. Of course, there’s more to regulatory life than the Consumer Duty, and this session will also look at what else is coming down the line for advisers.

We’ll also be taking a deep dive into working with clients with vulnerable characteristics and discussing our latest range of training and knowledge events.

Thematic Review of Retirement Income (11:40am - 12:20pm)

Following on from our regulatory update, we will take a deep dive into The Retirement Income Thematic Review that was announced earlier this year. Whilst we await the outcome of the review, our panellists will share their thoughts on how advisers and providers alike can work together to create a robust retirement proposition to help your clients navigate increasing life expectancies and rising living costs, to ensure they are meeting their income needs in retirement.

Supporting you at every step (12:20pm - 12:35pm)

Each firm has its own approach to growth and diversity of service, and SimplyBiz is dedicated to supporting you at every step, whatever your approach. 'In this session, Adviser Services Director, Marc Thompson will discuss referral options, ways in which to add value to your services, preparing for acquisition or sale, building tech into your processes, and much more.

Tax efficient investing special feature, inc MiCap exclusive (12:35pm - 13:05pm)

As an independent retail financial adviser, the tax-advantaged sector can provide many benefits to your clients, including opportunities to reduce client IHT bills, optimise allowances and provide diversification in a portfolio.

With such a range of varied products in this market, our panel of experts will cut through the noise to help you understand the benefits, risks and, ultimately, how to assess client suitability in this market.

PLUS - Following the announcement of the acquisition of MiCap by Defaqto, we welcome MiCap to the show to share their insight into the market and to talk about how they can support firms to build a robust research process for this marketplace.
